Undercover AW05 "Arts and Crafts" Corduroy Sherpa Jacket
A powerful follow-up to two strong years and several widely acclaimed collections, Jun Takahashi and his cult-label, Undercover, took the runway by storm in Autumn Winter 2005 with the showcasing of “Arts and Crafts”. Takahashi has been no stranger to DIY aesthetics, but it is rather intriguing to find it juxtaposed against such immensely articulated and arduously constructed tailoring and pattern work. “Arts and Crafts” exudes a feeling of romanticization - felted shirts, cross and key motifs, tuxedo jackets and repaired denim form the collection’s ensemble and offerings.
